Absolutely love this place and come here regularly and for different occasions; girls night out, birthday celebration or just a family dinner. I highly recommend the mentaiko shiso pasta or miso soy milk “Japanese carbonara” washed down with a umeshu plum wine. Also love the green tea tiramisu. The playpen is such a bonus for us to keep our toddler at bay while some delicious Japanese Italian fusion is being cooked in the kitchen by Masterchef Ken. The service is always delightful & I love how easy it is to text Ken for a booking. Make sure you book Friday/Saturday night as it gets booked out!

Jicca means home in Japanese, which is very fitting for this sort of restaurant. The service feels friendly and familiar, and there certainly is a very homely vibe. There is a child's play area as well so you can focus on your conversations without worries. We had ordered some karaage chicken, cabbage, some assorted risottos and pasta dishes, and the Hamburg steak and they were all exceptional. They have nothing to prove with fancy ingredients, it's just simple homely meals done right. My favourite was certainly the Hamburg steak, but you can't go wrong with anything else on the menu. Ask them for recommended wines too!

Came here for Valentine's Day and it was busy! We didn't have a booking so didn't expect to get a seat. However the two couples in the big long table welcomed us to sit down with them. They weren't there together so it was three separate couples seated together. That was half the fun as got talking to them and had some laughs. The food was amazing. Definitely Japanese and Italian fusion. The bruschetta and meatballs were both delicious and a great way to start. We had soft bone chicken which was the cartilage of the chicken deep fried, different but still yummy. The mains were equally as good, I had crab pasta while hubby had a beef ragu. I evdn managed to snap a few photos of the food the others ordered. Come back? Yes definitely if we are in the area!

I saw Tara milk teas recommendation and I was drawn by the menu. After a quick search I can see a children’s menu which prompted me to book the restaurant to enjoy with my little ones on my birthday. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by friendly and warm staff who had the high chair already set out for us. The child play area is clean with lots of thoughtful toys and books. The food is yummy and all dishes were full of flavour. If you’re a sauce person, this is your place to visit. I had the best time and whether it be a casual dinner out or celebration, you will enjoy yourselves at this family friendly location.

This Japanese Italian restaurant exemplifies the type of Japanese Italian food you find in Japan. Dishes are always carefully curated and tonight we had the Black Seafood Curry, teriyaki chicken and sea urchin spaghetti. Beer on tap is available. The teriyaki chicken is made in one whole piece using one chicken hindquarter; the only restaurant where I’ve eaten it like this and it’s devine. Other seasonal specials dishes are always on offer on the blackboard and await your discovery when visiting. The children’s playpen is such a godsend and very clever idea. Our boys were suitably distracted by the books and toys while waiting for their dinner. Overall very delicious and can’t wait to come back for another visit.

I live in the neighborhood, seen this place a lot but we always had other plans whenever we had time to go for dinner. Finally tried it, had the best vongole I have had in 6 years since I moved to Australia. It is my absolute favorite dish and if I see it on the menu rest assured I will order it. I’ve tried so many in Sydney but it just doesnt taste right or good enough, mainly because the clams are cooked separately (some already come in cooked from supplier) all the flavors gone and just later added to garlic/wine sauce/evoo sauce, its always been missing that flavor you get from freshly cooked clams. Our dinner here absolutely ticked all the boxes I am looking for. Simple but very well executed. Will definetly be back soon!

An Italian-Japanese family eatery in Neutral Bay. I came here with a table for 3 for a casual dinner. There a some daily specials on the board and a variety of spaghetti choices. I particular enjoyed the Mentaiko Garlic Bread, Oden and the White Wine seafood spaghetti was also quite nice. Staff were attentive and friendly. There is also a section for kids to play around themselves - so it's good for families. Will come back in the future!

The service was very good. For Japanese style pasta it was pretty decent. The mussels weren't that fresh tho. So maybe 4.5.
